Finland has neverending lakes and a lot untouched nature. The border is located 50 km from Kirkenes. Along the popular lake "Inari" it is possible to drive by the main road 971 to Inari and Ivalo. Further south in Saariselkä you will find a fantastic area for skiing in winter time.

The border between Norway and Finland is open and it is able to cross frily. Customs station is open
mon-fri 08.00- 19.00, sat. 10.00-19.00 and sun 12.00-20.00. Neiden customs station tel: (+47) 78 97 79 10

How to get to Finland:

With private car: Follow the E6 in the direction to Neiden, afterwords direction to Ivalo (Kirkenes-Ivalo: 260 km)

Direct buss connection from Kirkenes to Ivalo only in summer (June 25th - August 11th)!
