Bjørnevatn Similar to Kirkenes, Bjrenavatn was built around the mining-activities of AS Sydvaranger. The settlement is therefore called "the mining town" by the locals. The mines are situated in the middle of Bjrnevatn, and are Northern-Europe's largest open air (day break) mines.
