Neiden Neiden is situated only 10 km from the Finnish border, 45 km west of Kirkenes along the E6. The settlement is renowned for its excellent salmon river, and for being the centre of the culture of the Norwegian Eastern Sami people. There are also many people of Finnish origin here. Geologically the Neiden settlement is very special. The heights along the Neiden River is the old seabed and this shows in the straight lines in the terrain.
